Dr. Shaftina F. Snipes is the founder and CEO of Precipice Center for Teaching and Learning, an educational consulting company, which prides itself on bridging the academic gap among underprivileged youth. She has served as an Educational Consultant and Instructional coach for over 17 years.  Dr. Snipes is a 2021 Woman to KNOW for the State of North Carolina and a nationally board certified teacher with 20 years of experience in coaching, mentoring educators.

Precipice Center for Teaching and Learning was initially developed in 2008 to create a paradigm shift of at-risk youth incapable of demonstrating mastery on summative assessments.  Precipice Center provided students an alternative to exhibit skill mastery through submission of personalized student portfolios.  Precipice Centers initial focus was to help children encompass the necessary skills and abilities to approach rigorous curriculum  with heightened levels of efficacy.  Since inception, Precipice Center has expanded its services to include instructional design and educational consultation while continuing to provide high quality personalized learning support.  Precipice Center focuses on providing high quality educational experiences designed to entice learners to develop an inquisitive love for learning. To remain competitive, Precipice Center leverages the most innovative technological advancements and research based educational practices to assist our partners with developing transformative metacognitive skills for experiential learners.
